Wrapping up 2010

We hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas, and enjoyed the opportunity to indulge in plenty of food, time and family.

This week between Christmas and New Years seems to generate a great deal of reflection about the year that has been.  Magazines, newspapers and online blogs are all currently summarising 2010 in terms of the major national and world events that either made us smile or stopped us in our tracks, and individually we are reflecting with friends and family about our own experiences of the year and whether or not we are happy to see 2010 come to a close.

Our major highlight was the launch of Presse-Papiers at the end of October! Thank you for all your positive feedback and support, it means a lot to us.  It has been a busy, at times crazy, journey so far but well worth it, especially when we hear that other people love our products as much as we do!

We have so many new gorgeous products and ideas for next year and we can't wait to share them with you on this blog, and our website.  So stay tuned.

We hope that 2011 is a bright and prosperous year, and is filled with much much joy xx

A handwritten letter...

I wrote a letter to our Nana yesterday.  At 93 years, she isn't really in to email or text messages, and so each month or so, I sit down with a cup of tea and write her a handwritten letter.  Quite often, it is difficult to find the time to do this, and of course, it takes a little bit longer than it would to text someone, but overall, I've decided it is a wonderfully therapeutic thing to do!
There is something about collecting your thoughts about recent events and experiences and sharing them with someone you love, particularly for someone who loves to hear from you and appreciates the effort.  I know checking the mailbox is an important part of our Nana's day!
So much has changed with online communication, but I think that everyone still loves to receive a handwritten letter, note or card in the mail - it certainly is nicer than a bill - so try to find the time over the next few weeks and drop a line or two to someone you love!
xx
