pretty packaging...

We are all about pretty packaging here at presse-papiers - part of the reason we started this business really!  For years, we have appreciated beautifully wrapped gifts or lovely packaging of shopping purchases.  To us, it is part of the overall gift or purchase in itself, and absolutely adds to the value of the goodies inside.

Here are a few pretty examples that have recently caught our eye!

more wrapping...

Our households are busy wrapping, taping and tying lots of christmas presents at the moment!  There are copious amounts of brown paper, sticky tape, string, pegs and tags everywhere - a colourful mess but lots of fun!

Even the little ones join in (p.s. found another brilliant aspect of mt tape - teaching a 17 month the skill of stacking!).

happy wrapping xx

Essimar excellence...

We are always looking around for new gift wrapping inspiration, and loved these ideas by Esther Ramirez, the creative mind behind Essimar.  The unique folding of tissue paper creates a lovely textured appearance, and we love her use of washi tape on both white and kraft brown paper.

Hope you find these photos inspiring too! xx

a few of our favourite [gift-wrapping] things....

Right now, we are loving:

* Buttons - now I know why I kept all of those buttons that you receive when you buy new clothes - they are a great accessory for brown paper packages!

* Stamps - a quick and easy way to personalise your gift wrap, envelopes or cards.

* Twine - okay, this is an old love that has turned into a recent obsession thanks to The Twinery with their amazing colours that make you think of your favourite childhood lolly!  We will have these in our shop soon thank goodness!

* brown envelopes - these have made a comeback recently and look so much prettier and original than a boring white envelope.  You can place letters, cards, or small gifts inside for a lucky someone!

* washi tape (of course) - we can't get enough of this stuff, and are looking forward to seeing the new range at Instyle in Sydney later this week.

All these pretty parcels are off to our baby sister who is moving to a new city this week to start university! Good luck babe!
