more talent in paper cutting and folding...

ooh, two exciting finds to share today, how exciting!  Firstly, the divine artistry of Chloe Fleury, who creates paper magic with her cutting and folding skills amongst other talents!  Her work was just featured on the cover of the latest Antology issue - check it out!

Plus, some other work...

Found them through the second discovery, a very cool blog called The Jealous Curator.  Filled with artwork that is seen as inspiring and therefore, definitely worth admiring, it is filled with a huge variety of eye-candy, plus I really like her writing style too - fun and honest!

and off we go...

Well our first week of business for the year has been busy! Customer orders, stock orders, brainstorming about an exciting project that we have coming up, and catching up on some boring admin tasks like accounts and stocktake!

We both stripped our corkboards over the weekend, and have started revamping them in 2012 creativity and spirit.  You have to love a blank canvas and the opportunity to add colour, pictures and inspiration to match your current goals and focus.  And the beauty of a cord board is that you can change it as many times as you like!

Here are the start of ours...

And we stumbled upon these wise words from Emerson on the ever lovely Spoonful website, and felt compelled to share them with you!  We definitely need to print this off and stick it to our inspiration boards or the inside cover of our super fabulous Frankie diaries so we can read it every day!

Apologies that our products are a little low following the Christmas craziness but we promise we will be restocking both old and new very soon!  We'll be attending Life Instyle in Sydney again next month so we'll be sharing new ranges and designers as they land on our doorstep.

If you're looking for some inspiration or happy reading, make sure you get your hands on a copy of Spoonful Issue 6 - it is something special.

hope you all had a nice weekend x

spoonful - a happiness companion...

Life is frantic these days...it feels like we are constantly on the go, running from one demand to another, and still we don't achieve enough.  We feel like there is never enough time in the day and never enough days in the week.  As mums, we constantly watch our children and marvel at their focus on the here and now.  They don't really care that the washing needs to be done, that there are emails unattended, or that Mum has a million other things to do - they just want you to be there with them, right there and then, in that moment.

Well here comes along a beautiful little publication that is designed to inspire us all to see and think afresh the world around you, and even better - is short enough for us to finish before the end of a train ride!  Bite-sized in length, and filled with creative and uplifting quotes, stories and ideas - Spoonful is sure to make you smile after reading it.

A perfect gift for yourself or a friend, buy yourself a copy here

Spoonful comes out 3-4 x a year so start your happiness collection now xx

where has Rob Ryan been all our lives...

While the rest of the world has long been celebrating the amazing talent of Rob Ryan and his London team, we have sadly been in the dark! Luckily, we spotted his 'Four Seasons' set of 4 plates in a number of recent home and design magazines, and instantly fell in love!

Rob Ryan is a world famous artist who specialises in papercutting and screen printing.  Whimsical and romantic, his designs are quite breath-taking...here are a few of our favourites.

Pinterest...the perfect eye candy!

We are in LOVE! And no sorry, it is not our husbands, our children or even mt masking tape that have stolen our hearts this week!  It is the discovery of a very cool, very addictive website called Pinterest.

Essentially, pinterest is a 'virtual pinboard', where you are able to create different collections of pictures that you love, as well as be able to follow the pin-boards of other like-minded souls - its basically a way of sharing the millions of stunning images floating around the cyberspace in one place!  All you do is re-pin an image that you like to your own page.

We haven't even reached the point of creating our own page yet, we've just been so captivated looking at all the gorgeous pages.  There are plenty of pretty paper and stationery images, which is fabulous for inspiration for presse-papiers, but we have also fallen in love with lots of other pages as well...

Here is a very small taste of what we discovered.

This will definitely not be the last time you hear from us about pinterest! You absolutely have to go and check it out.
