it's our birthday month - yippee!

Well, it was almost a year ago that we launched presse-papiers at the Auckland Parent & Child Show! We were pretty green about this whole business thing to be honest :-) How hard can it be to sell beautiful paper and stationery right? Hmmm, yes, well.

Little did we, and the rest of NZ know, that over the next twelve months, our lovely country was going to be thrown some major challenges.  There was the tragedy at Pike River, the struggling economy and NZ dollar, and such devastation in poor Christchurch as it was rocked by major earthquakes and ongoing aftershocks that left much of the city, and certainly some people's lives, unrecognisable.

Despite it all however, the strength and resilience of this country is unwavering.  We forge ahead, trying to find positivity and comfort in the community, and we still like to see and hear about new things.  New shops, new trends, new people.

And we feel blessed to have met a lot of wonderful people over the past year.  Customers who love pretty paper.  Lovely bloggers who write about all things beautiful.  Talented designers who create wonderful products that people just want in their lives.  A lot of NZ creativity as well as plenty of overseas products being seen in this country for the first time.

It's been a rollercoaster of a ride, and we've learnt so much about our newest baby, presse-papiers.  With tears and pride, we say happy first birthday!  Here's to many more happy birthdays, with lots of new milestones and pretty paper in the years ahead :-)

And of course, a birthday wouldn't be complete without a present, right?  So we are giving you the chance to win a loyalty membership that entitles you to 20% off any orders for an entire year!
